The Royal Wedding Review

The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton Who stayed up all night to watch the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton? We have been watching the reviews all morning and loved seeing the big day for this beautiful couple. We want to hear what you thought of Kate’s Alexander McQueen dress? We loved the dress but really loved Pipa’s dress! Us Magazine is calling her the Hottest Bridesmaid Ever! A few of the other things we loved at the royal wedding were: The Wedding Cake Castle: Insane Wedding Hats: The Getaway Car: An Aston Martin!

Colorado Cocktail Contest

Colorado Cocktails I recently discovered a contest called the “Colorado Cocktail Project.” It is occurring in Denver in late June at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The man behind the project, Sean Kenyon, has made it his mission, to discover a cocktail that is representative of our great state. The Colorado Bartenders Guild, the Colorado Distillers Guild, Westword, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Whole Foods have jumped on the bandwagon with him on this great mission. Pretty cool huh? In order to compete, the base spirit (half of the cocktail) must be a Colorado spirit. Additionally, there is a …

Best Green Fashion

Do Green & Fashion Go Together? In honor of Earth Day, we decided to share our favorite green fashions with you. Until recently, green and fashion didn’t go that well together. Today, green fabrics feel even better than chemically processed fabrics and the benefits of wearing green clothing are astounding! Although going green may be a little more pricey, you are: 1. Protecting our water: Cotton uses more carcinogenic and toxic pesticides than any other crop in the world. These toxins find their way into waterways, groundwater, and even animal feed in the United States and elsewhere. 2. Protecting your …

Wedding Wednesday Pamper

Time to Pamper Every bride deserves a little pre-wedding pampering. The wedding planning process, even with the help of a wedding coordinator, can be quite stressful so it is important to take the time to unwind before “the big day.” In Aspen, two of my favorite places to escape for some “scheduled pampering” are Remede at the St. Regis and The Aspen Club. Send me to either place for the day and I come back an entirely different person; relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to take on whatever challenges come my way. For a little unscheduled time, hikes up to Cathedral or American …

Is a glass water bottle better than plastic?

Just Another Beaker… We love our water in Colorado. Everyone seems to be toting around water bottles. We stumbled upon a new water bottle that may take the cake. So, get rid of any plastic water bottles you may have lying around your house and welcome the BKR into your life. This amazing bottle is glass with a silicone sleeve to add a little flash and to prevent slippage. Better yet, the glass prevents any “flavor leakage” and of course the bottle is BPA free. Once you are done with your bottle, the glass can be recycled and BKR will …

Vegetarian BBQ Dishes

Looking for the Ideal Vegetarian BBQ Recently, I (Chelsea) found out from the doctor, that I needed to be on a vegetarian diet for a while. This has not been that difficult until the weather started warming up and friends were throwing BBQ’s. This got me feeling as though I would just have to miss out on the yummy cheese burgers and grilled chicken. This all got me wondering, “What’s a girl to eat at a BBQ if she can’t eat meat?” Here are the yummy vegetarian recipes that I came up with and are the perfect option to offer …

“Gilty” Fashion Friday

It’s that time of the year! Several years ago, one of my dear friends introduced me to one of my biggest addictions: Gilt Groupe. Back in the “old days” things did not sell out quite so quickly but I can’t help but get a little excited each day when their email enters my inbox. Yesterday I was thrilled. Their Wedding Shop returns after such resounding success last year on April 14. For Four Days, April 14 – April 17, the best of all things bridal will be featured on their website. Amazing wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, lingerie, wedding gifts, gifts …

Colorado Distilled Organic Vodka

Organic Vodka from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado Vodka 14, the Ideal Organic Beverage For Your Next Event! “Vodka 14 boasts a USDA Organic certification, distinguishing it from virtually all other top-shelf vodkas. What makes a vodka organic, and why this matters, cuts to the heart of Vodka 14’s remarkable smoothness and taste. Organic foods are grown in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. We are exceedingly proud to buy the grain we craft into Vodka 14 from individual American farmers committed to sustainability, but the “greenness” of organic ingredients is only half the story.  Using grain grown without pesticides, …

Here come the Mothers…

What’s a Mother to Do! Weddings + Mothers= an interesting combination. As soon as “wedding talk” starts happening, a range of emotion wells up in the mothers of both the future bride and groom. More times than not, these emotions are positive ones. How to make your mother feel engaged once you are engaged can be quite a task. For some brides, they can hand all details to their mothers and then the bride can just show up for the important decision making days: modern or traditional dress, tastings, white, pink or blue flowers, etc. For others, the brides must …
